Good Things Come in Threes

BURNABY, BC, February 1, 2017 – Paladin Security is pleased to announce that it has completed mergers with both Marcomm Systems Group Inc. (MSGI) and CONTAVA Inc. as of February 1st, 2017. The completion of this merger means that Paladin Security, the 2015 Canadian Integrator of the Year, has joined forces with the 2011 and 2013 Canadian Integrators of the Year. Post-merger, Paladin Security is now the largest complex integrated systems company in the nation.

In the coming months, MSGI will transition to operating solely under the Paladin banner. Rest assured, the current organizational structure of MSGI will remain the same.

Big Development for MSGI

MSGI has been selected to be part of the team designing, building and ErinoakKids Treatment Facility in the Province of Ontario. The new ErinoakKids facilities are slated to open in early 2017 and will consolidate the existing 10 buildings into 3 state-of-the-art treatment and development centres. These centres will cover nearly 300,000 square feet, and will be located in Brampton, Mississauga, and Oakville.


We received a call a few months ago from a large scale development company based out of Regina, Saskatchewan. They had a request for a CCTV system to secure a storage location for heavy equipment and modular homes. There was only one problem, the site had no access to power or internet. We assured them that this was not a problem and we had a solution for them. We decided to enlist the help from one of the countries leaders in solar power solutions ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES.

MSGI To Secure 342,000 SQ Foot Medical Marijuana Greenhouse


Canadian company Supreme Pharmaceuticals Inc. (C.SL), has hired 2013 Security Integrator of the Year, Marcomm Systems Group Inc. (MSGI) to design and implement the security measures required to produce and distribute medical marijuana at its 342,000 sq ft greenhouse.

MSGI Exhibits At Greenrush Financial Conference

There was a medical marijuana conference held in downtown Toronto yesterday and the team from MSGI was front and center. The day was spent discussing various security needs with licensed producers, and the challenges they will face. When it comes to the security integration that Health Canada is requiring there are numerous factors that will be needed to be fulfilled. Having worked on previous design, builds in the medical marijuana industry MSGI believes that they will spearhead the influx of applicants by demonstrating their skills in the security industry.

MSGI names new Vice President

Last year was an interesting year for MSGI; we have seen this company win the Security Integrator of the Year Award by successfully completing several key projects. These key projects were completed using technologies, products and services supplied from our key partners. I am proud to announce that Marc-Andre Bergeron has been named Vice President of Operations and Rick Wright has been named Senior Project Manager / Estimator. MSGI completes security integration at Thunder Bay Courthouse

It is with great pleasure that we announce MSGI's completion of the security integration at the new THUNDER BAY CONSOLIDATED COURTHOUSE. This courthouse is located in the southern core of downtown Thunder Bay, and is another brand new, state of the art facility that MSGI has been tasked with completing the full security integration. By working with BIRD CONSTRUCTION, who was awarded the build of the facility, and UNIVEX Canada, the lead electrical company onsite, MSGI was able to provide complete security integration for the entire facility/courthouse.

MSGI named top partner for Eastern Canada by Axis Communications

Over the last 10 years MSGI has been one of the top resellers of Axis Communications products in the security industry. Last week at the channel partner summit hosted by Axis Communications MSGI took home top honors for eastern Canada. Narrowly missing dealer of choice for the entire country, MSGI president David Trudel said " We congratulate JCI, and know we are gunning for top spot next year". The channel partner summit was in the host city of Montreal at the Intercontinental Hotel in old montreal. It was a two day event focusing on the changing market and new products.

May 2013 - Ambassador Hotel & Convention Centre

MSGI to supply and install a Panasonic Video Management Solution to encompass immediate areas of concern with room for furture expansion. The system is based on the Panasonic WJND400 Mega-Pixel Network recorder, allowing for up to 64 cameras when fully populated. Two WJND400 units are provided for a total capacity of 128 cameras. This project is for a total of 80 cameras, allowing for future expansion.
